Job Overview As the Task Force Director of Sales, you will serve as the sales leader supporting OTH Hotels Resorts-managed properties through on-property deployment, strategic sales leadership, and hands-on revenue generation efforts. You will provide temporary on-site sales leadership and operational support to hotels throughout the portfolio during transitions, staffing changes, hotel openings, ramp-up periods, sales blitz initiatives, or other business needs requiring additional commercial leadership and support.   You will function as both a strategic and operational sales resource by leading hotel sales efforts, managing daily sales activities, supporting account development, and assisting properties in driving revenue growth and increasing market share. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to quickly integrate into varying hotel environments, brands, and market conditions while maintaining alignment with OTH Hotels Resorts sales strategies and standards.   The Task Force Director of Sales will work closely with hotel leadership, property sales teams, Revenue Management, Operations, and corporate leadership to support business development initiatives, strengthen local and national account relationships, and improve overall commercial performance.   Success in this role is measured through revenue growth, market share improvement, account development, sales team support, successful hotel transitions, and contribution to portfolio-wide commercial performance.   Job Responsibilities Advocates the Open Door Policy by assisting property leadership and hotel teams through clear, calm, and direct communication, in accordance with the guidelines established by OTH Hotels Resorts. Serves as the on-property sales leader for assigned hotels during task force deployments and transition periods. Assists hotels with driving revenue growth through proactive sales efforts, account development, and strategic business planning. Oversees daily sales activities including prospecting, lead management, account development, site visits, and client communication while deployed on property. Supports hotels in strengthening existing account relationships and identifying opportunities for increased market penetration. Assists in uncovering local, regional, and national account opportunities across multiple market segments. Collaborates with Revenue Management and Operations teams to align sales strategies with pricing, inventory, and operational goals. Supports hotel onboarding, hotel openings, staffing transitions, and ramp-up initiatives as assigned. Assists with company-wide sales blitzes, prospecting initiatives, and strategic sales campaigns. Works closely with local Chambers of Commerce, CVBs, tourism organizations, community partners, sports organizations, hospitals, and wedding venues to increase hotel visibility and uncover opportunities. Assists in training and mentoring property sales teams on prospecting, account management, sales systems, and company processes. Supports implementation and utilization of company sales tools, contracts, proposals, resumes, CRM systems, and prospecting platforms. May temporarily oversee or assist with catering and event sales functions depending on property needs. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.   Sales Strategy & Business Development Executes strategic sales plans aligned with each assigned hotel’s business needs, market opportunities, and revenue goals. Conducts proactive prospecting efforts including outside sales calls, networking, backyard canvassing, and account development activities. Identifies need periods and develops targeted strategies to increase occupancy, group production, and overall revenue. Builds and maintains strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, planners, and community partners. Assists hotels with market segmentation strategies including corporate, association, SMERF, government, sports, healthcare, and social business. Supports hotels in identifying untapped business opportunities and improving market share performance.   RFP Management & Proposal Excellence Oversees and supports timely responses to RFPs, inquiries, and business opportunities. Assists hotel teams with proposal development, account targeting, and lead follow-up strategies. Ensures proposals, contracts, and client communications align with company standards and operational capabilities. Supports hotels in maximizing conversion opportunities through responsiveness and strategic selling efforts.   Contracting, Negotiation & Risk Management Assists with contract negotiation and agreement execution while protecting hotel profitability and operational feasibility. Ensures proper use of approved company contracts, sales tools, resumes, and proposal templates. Supports hotels in maintaining proper documentation standards related to bookings, deposits, and client agreements. Escalates high-risk or non-standard requests to leadership as appropriate.   Cross-Functional Collaboration & Hotel Support Works closely with hotel leadership, Revenue Management, Operations, Catering, and Banquets teams to support overall hotel performance. Assists with communication and turnover processes to ensure smooth execution of booked business. Supports hotels during staffing transitions, DOS vacancies, hotel acquisitions, renovations, repositioning efforts, or operational challenges. Provides mentorship, coaching, and guidance to property sales teams and emerging sales leaders. Encourages collaboration, accountability, and alignment with OTH Hotels Resorts culture and commercial initiatives.   Reporting & Strategic Analysis Provides regular updates to corporate leadership regarding property performance, sales activities, market conditions, and business opportunities. Maintains accurate records within CRM systems and company reporting platforms. Shares market intelligence, competitive insights, and strategic recommendations with hotel leadership and corporate teams. Assists in evaluating sales performance, pace, and revenue opportunities during assigned deployments. Supports forecasting and strategic planning efforts as needed.     Job Requirements Education: Four-year college degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management (or related) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive hotel sales experience required. Prior Director of Sales or senior-level hotel sales leadership experience preferred. Multi-property, task force, or above-property hospitality experience preferred. Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, developing accounts, and supporting hotel transitions required. Experience with hotel openings, repositioning efforts, or turnaround situations preferred.   Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, prospecting, networking, and relationship-building skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively within varying hotel environments, brands, and markets. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and properties. Excellent communication, training, coaching, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with hotel and corporate leadership teams. Proficiency with CRM systems, Delphi, CVENT, Agency360, Microsoft Office, and related hotel sales technologies preferred. Hospitality-focused mindset with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to sales leadership. Ability to maintain professionalism, flexibility, and composure in fast-paced and changing environments.   Travel required: Extensive travel required throughout the OTH Hotels Resorts portfolio. The majority of assignments will require on-property presence for extended periods of time based on business needs. Overnight travel required.   Physical requirements: Ability to travel regularly, move throughout hotel properties and event venues, stand/walk for extended periods during networking events and site visits, and lift/carry light materials as needed.
