Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a Staff Engineering Technician Staff Engineering Technician (Jacksonville, FL) Other locations: Overland Park, KS/ Denver, CO/ Ann Arbor, MI/ Houston, TX/ Phoenix, AZ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES: • Functions in a project engineering technician capacity. • Under general direction, supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables. • Applies foundational engineering principles and established design practices to create moderately complex design concepts and solutions. • Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. • Provides technical guidance and may offer direction to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across project outputs. SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: This role will be within the client Distributed Infrastructure solution, supporting client needs related to Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. Advanced Civil 3D experience is required with use of proposed grading surfaces and plan development. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Diploma or Certificate required. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. • Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
