Oura is building a world-class global marketing engine, and EMEIA is the most complex, high-stakes international region and our largest international growth opportunity. We’re looking for a Director of EMEIA Marketing to lead the region with a clear commercial mandate, translating business priorities into market demand, channel performance, and sustainable revenue growth across EMEIA.
While the role partners closely with brand and creative teams, its primary focus is on driving growth, performance, and revenue across the region. The Director of EMEIA Marketing will own the regional marketing strategy and operating rhythm across priority markets, translating business goals into demand, sell-through, DTC growth, and stronger market-level performance. They will partner closely with Commercial, Retail, E-commerce, Media, PR, and Global Marketing to identify the highest-impact levers to drive revenue in each market.
You’ll build the regional marketing function from the ground up, lead Regional Marketing Managers across priority markets, and help turn Oura’s strong retail position into a true omnichannel growth engine across EMEIA. You’ll report to the VP, Marketing with a dotted line to the regional GM and play a key role in shaping regional plans, investment choices, and go-to-market priorities.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Own the EMEIA marketing strategy and execution across all priority markets, with accountability for revenue contribution, demand generation, sell-through, and DTC growth.
- Be the regional leader who consistently asks: what do we need to do to sell more rings in this market, through this channel, in this quarter?
- Translate business targets into clear market-level plans, channel priorities, and investment recommendations.
- Partner closely with international leadership to align marketing investment with commercial goals, revenue targets, and market opportunities.
- Lead, hire, and develop a team of Regional Marketing Managers across priority markets including the UK, Germany, and UAE, with additional markets to follow.
- Serve as the primary EMEIA marketing voice in global planning, ensuring regional needs, growth opportunities, and market realities are represented in cross-functional decisions.
- Own the regional view of performance across retail and DTC, using data to diagnose where growth is accelerating, where it is slowing, and what actions are required.
- Drive Oura’s transition from a retail-dominant model to a stronger omnichannel business, including increasing DTC contribution in Tier 1 markets.
- Identify and prioritize the biggest demand drivers by market: media, promotions, retail activations, partnerships, pricing moments, launches, and local campaigns.
- Build a strong operating cadence around forecasting, performance reviews, test-and-learn agendas, and action planning.
- Recommend where to increase, reduce, or reallocate investment based on expected commercial impact.
- Partner with E-commerce and Commercial teams to improve conversion, sell-through, launch readiness, and channel productivity across the region.
- Develop and execute market-specific growth plans that balance global strategy with local market conditions and revenue opportunities.
- Lead local execution across the full funnel, with emphasis on the channels and programs that most efficiently drive demand and conversion.
- Work with Commercial Marketing to develop and activate partnerships that drive both market relevance and direct commercial impact.
- Lead market plans for launches, peak moments, retail expansion, and key trading periods, ensuring every major initiative has a clear growth objective and measurable outcome.
- Oversee regional briefs and local adaptation only where it meaningfully improves performance; creative should serve the commercial strategy, not be the strategy.
- Ensure promotions, activations, and local marketing moments are tightly linked to business goals and channel needs.
- Collaborate closely with Media, PR, E-commerce, Social, Creative, Retail, and Insights teams so EMEIA priorities are embedded in the right global and regional workstreams.
- Partner with Consumer Insights and Analytics to generate market-level learning that improves targeting, messaging, investment allocation, and future planning.
- Represent EMEIA in campaign planning and product discussions, advocating for the market requirements that unlock growth in-region.
- Work closely with regional commercial leads to connect marketing plans to inventory realities, retailer priorities, market conditions, and revenue expectations.
- Establish a clear MBR/QBR rhythm for reviewing performance, surfacing issues, and making decisions quickly.
- 10+ years of marketing leadership experience, including meaningful ownership of regional or multi-market strategy across EMEIA, ideally within a consumer business spanning both retail and DTC.
- Proven track record of driving measurable business growth through marketing — including revenue, demand generation, sell-through, DTC growth, and/or market share gains.
- Strong commercial instincts and comfort operating close to the business: you understand forecasting, targets, trading moments, channel economics, and how marketing choices affect revenue.
- Experience building and scaling regional teams and operating models from an early stage.
- Deep familiarity with EMEIA market dynamics and the ability to adapt strategy across very different consumer, retail, and media environments.
- Strong command of omnichannel marketing and the judgment to prioritize the levers that will drive the greatest commercial return in complex markets.
- Experience activating partnerships, launches, and regional programs with clear business outcomes.
- Background in premium consumer goods, health tech, wearables, or lifestyle brands preferred; high-growth company experience is a strong plus.
- Commercially minded operator first, marketer second — you naturally connect plans, spend, and execution back to sales impact.
- Strong performance orientation; you are fluent in reading the business, identifying root causes, and turning insight into action.
- Excellent prioritization skills; you know how to focus teams and budgets on the highest-yield opportunities.
- Effective cross-functional leader who can influence senior stakeholders and align teams around a clear growth agenda.
- Comfortable moving between strategy and execution — from market diagnosis and investment choices to launch planning and day-to-day decision-making.
- Clear, direct communicator who can simplify complex market dynamics and make actionable recommendations quickly.
- Fluency in English required; additional European or Middle Eastern language skills are a plus.
In this role, success looks like:
- Faster growth in priority EMEIA markets
- Stronger DTC contribution alongside healthy retail performance
- Clearer regional prioritization and sharper investment decisions
- Better linkage between marketing activity and commercial outcomes
- A regional team and operating model built to identify what will drive demand — and execute against it quickly
