Oura is seeking an experienced and highly strategic Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Hardware Program Management group to drive the design, implementation and test of new batteries for Oura products. This role spans integration across disciplines: electrical, mechanical, firmware, system test, manufacturing. This position reports to the Senior Director of Hardware Programs.
This Staff level TPM role requires not just exceptional execution, but also the ability to drive technical excellence, anticipate challenges far in advance, and mentor others. If you are a master of navigating intricate technical landscapes, a natural leader and communicator, and possess a deep understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle for integrated hardware/software systems, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead Programs: Drive end-to-end delivery of advanced battery systems for wearables from concept and feasibility through design, validation, manufacturing, and launch,
- →Align Teams: Bridge sourcing, hardware, firmware, software, product, science, manufacturing and quality disciplines; manage tradeoffs, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth cross-functional execution.
- →Plan & Execute: Build and maintain schedules, map dependencies, manage risks and proactively clear roadblocks
- →Communicate: Provide clear, tailored updates on progress, risks and strategy to executives, engineers, and partners.
- →Coordinate across Vendors and internal teams: Oversee the integration between battery supplier deliverables and product development needs.
- →Ensure Quality: Drive testing and validation of battery performance, reliability and safety standards.
- →Ensure Battery Compliance: Ensure battery compliance readiness across all channels, markets and logistics chains.
- →Shape Practices: Establish best practices for battery program execution across NPI and Sustaining programs, mentor senior team members, and foster collaboration.
- 10+ years experience in NPI Hardware development build and test cycles
- Proven track record shipping innovative products with custom battery systems (wearables preferred).
- Strong technical depth in battery technologies and power systems across system architecture and managing technical tradeoffs.
- Knowledge of battery test methodology at cell level and system level
- Experience working with product, engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, compliance and regulatory to author requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent communicator with strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Thrives in ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and global cross-timezone programs.
- Passion for health, wellness, and wearable technology.
Nice to Have

- Advanced PM tool proficiency (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet) and ability to optimize workflows.
