As a fast-growing company striving to make a difference every day, we are seeking a collaborative Manufacturing & Assembly Technician to join the team. The Manufacturing & Assembly Technician will work with operations to assemble products to meet customer deadlines.
To succeed in this role, you will have some experience in assembly and manufacturing as well as an ability to interpret and follow assembly drawing, wiring schematics, work instructions, BOMs and ECOs. You'll play a crucial part in the success of the company by manufacturing equipment to ship to customers. Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Perform assembly of released products in accordance with documentation including but not limited to electrical components, point-to-point wiring, cables, software load, and mechanical assemblies.
- Build and support prototype and pre-production development with limited documentation while working closely with engineering to develop and refine assembly processes.
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and basic root-cause analysis of electromechanical systems and assemblies.
- Interpret and follow assembly drawings, wiring schematics, work instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change order (ECO) dispositions.
- Accurately record production, test, and quality data on device history records (DHRs) in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through material transactions, cycle counts, and inventory control processes.
- Support manufacturing and operations activities including fabrication, testing, equipment maintenance, receiving, inventory management, shipping, and general production support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of manufacturing best practices.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while adhering to company policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
Experience/Skill Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing, assembly, or technician experience in an electromechanical production environment.
- Experience assembling mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience using common hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly and test issues independently.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, processes, and products quickly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Financially and operationally conscientious, demonstrating ownership and accountability in daily work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA-regulated, aerospace, medical device, robotics, etc.).
- Experience with cable assembly, soldering, and wire termination.
- Experience performing quality inspections using calipers, pin gauges, multimeters (DMMs), and other measurement equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
- Interest in expanding into Quality Technician work
Education Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- Technical/trade school preferred
- Certificate/BA/BS in advanced manufacturing or engineering a plus
