The Overnight Supervisor provides direct supervision, leadership, and scheduling oversight for Overnight Program Guides while ensuring a safe, supportive environment for residents during overnight hours. They serve as a key liaison between the Overnight Team and the broader Program Department.

  • Direct supervision of Overnight Program Guides including management, scheduling, performance observation, facilitation of scheduled employee reviews, and ongoing training. This will require presence at multiple programming locations as program needs dictate.
  • Conduct new Overnight Program Guide orientation and training setup.
  • Manage and delegate tasks for Overnight team members.
  • Act as liaison to the daytime Program Management team.
  • Communicate concerns and solutions to the Program Management team regarding anything related to overnight care of our residents and/or issues with Overnight Guides. 
  • Oversee nightly downloads when possible.
  • Oversee overnight implementation of relevant enhanced supervision measures.
  • Maintain inventory of resources.
  • Work closely with Program Director and Team Managers regarding hiring needs, Human Resources requests, and Overnight Guide training and involvement with the Program Department.
  • Oversee and conduct routine safety checks throughout facilities. 
  • Drive Company vehicles as necessary. 
  • Administration of medication to residents as needed throughout the night.
  • Work overnight shifts as assigned or as needed to cover overnight hours due to staffing needs.
  • Monitor resident medication self-administration when needed with proper documentation.
  • Assist in Transportation of resident arrivals and departures including taking lead in outfitting process.
  • Able to cover additional medication passes as needed.
  • Support Program Team implementation of collaborative practices to support resident wellness needs.
  • Direct supervision of Overnight Guides, including scheduling, performance observation, facilitation of employee reviews, and ongoing training.
  • Approve employee timecards and manage time-off requests in alignment with program needs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching, and support staff development.
  • Address performance concerns through appropriate disciplinary actions, documentation, and follow-up reviews in collaboration with Program Leadership and HR.
  • Monitor and manage overtime (OT), ensuring appropriate coverage while maintaining budgetary awareness.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for Overnight Guides, including interviewing and onboarding support.
  • Plan and Facilitate monthly overnight meetings (at minimum) with assistance from Program Director and Managers.
  • Additional daytime meetings or training may require participation.
  • Assist set-up of emergency watches and protocols.
  • Completes tasks accurately and on time.
  • Follows policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Treats others with respect and consideration.
  • Maintains well organized systems, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to pass wellness test and monitor resident medication self-administration.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Takes initiative; anticipates program needs whenever possible.

  • Good listening skills; gets clarification when needed.
  • Open to giving and receiving feedback. 
  • Able to work with a team of professionals and the ability to work independently.
  • Requires ability to be a team player, to form mutually respectful relationships with staff and residents, to grow professionally in meeting the challenges of this position.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must maintain CPI-Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (provided by Pacific Quest).
  • Must provide and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.  CPR certifications must be from a classroom training. Wilderness First Aid & Wilderness First Responder are acceptable.

  • Must pass prehire and ongoing background and fingerprint checks, and drug screening.
  • Annual physical and TB clearance required.
  • Experience in supervision and able to work with residents in crisis.
  • Experience with crisis prevention.
  • Basic computer skills including Google Documents, Gmail, and EMR software.
  • Understands and maintains all Pacific Quest policies including confidentiality, proper notification, and professional communication.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to meet Company auto insurance requirements.
  • Standard work schedule 6:00 p.m. - 2:00  a.m. Flexibility may be required to support operational needs.
  • Work overnight shifts as needed to support operational needs and/or crisis situations.
  • Some overtime hours may be required depending on program and staffing needs.
  • With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following:  seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, frequent sitting, standing and walking, may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Program Team members may be on their feet for various amounts of time during the course of their 10-12 hour shift. Emergencies may require sprinting and energy intensive movements to ensure resident safety.
