BI Engineer

What you will be doing: Partner with stakeholders and BI Analysts to convert data into critical knowledge for business decisions. Own the development, implementation, support, and tuning of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and BI Reporting environments. Design and implement reporting and analytical solutions. Analyse business needs and translate them into robust, scalable, and operable technical solutions. Ensure continuous, efficient operation of data pipelines and general support infrastructure. Provide ongoing operational support, including bug fixes, performance enhancements, and process automation (data extraction and report updates). Focus on data validation, integrity testing, cleansing, multidimensional data modelling, and optimisation of data models. What our client is looking for: 4 - 6 years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years in BI reporting tool development and 3 years in SQL. Experience with Looker, BigQuery, Dataform, OLAP, and multidimensional cube design is preferred. Experience with Google Cloud (or another cloud provider) architecture/operations and version control tools (e.g., Git). High proficiency in working with large datasets and business models. Experience working in Scrum and Sprint Agile methodologies is advantageous. Retail or e-commerce industry experience is beneficial, along with an interest in the e-commerce business.
