Business regulated by RBI as it allows only authorized entities to conduct PA PG (Payment Aggregator Payment Gateway) business. This team is responsible for growing the penetration of Paytm’s PA PG business in the Indian merchants.
About the role:
The role focuses on driving the growth of Paytm’s Cross-Border Payments and International Payment Solutions by acquiring and managing large enterprise merchants, global digital platforms, exporters, travel businesses, SaaS companies, and cross-border commerce players. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic
relationships with CXOs and decision-makers, and enabling seamless international payment acceptance and payouts through Paytm’s payment infrastructure.
Expectations / Requirements:
● Drive new merchant acquisition by identifying and closing large enterprise opportunities within the cross-border payments and international commerce ecosystem.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, founders, treasury teams, and senior stakeholders across enterprises, exporters, global e-commerce platforms, travel aggregators, SaaS businesses, and digital-first companies.
● Pitch Paytm’s Cross-Border Payment Solutions including international card processing, multi-currency payment acceptance, UPI for global merchants, forex-enabled payment flows, international settlements, payment gateway APIs, and payment orchestration capabilities.
● Build and manage a robust enterprise sales pipeline through market mapping, strategic partnerships, networking, and targeted outreach across businesses with international payment requirements.
● Collaborate closely with product, compliance, banking partnerships, integrations, tech, and operations teams to onboard merchants and deliver customized cross-border payment solutions.
● Lead commercial negotiations, contracts, pricing discussions, and strategic partnerships with enterprise clients and global businesses.
● Understand merchant business models, international transaction flows, forex requirements, and regulatory considerations to design scalable payment solutions that drive revenue growth and customer expansion globally.
● Track industry trends, regulatory developments, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities within the cross-border fintech and payments ecosystem.
● Achieve revenue targets, merchant acquisition goals, cross-border transaction volume growth, and international payments adoption metrics for the business.
● Ensure smooth merchant onboarding, compliance adherence, and seamless integration with Paytm’s international payment infrastructure and partner banking network.
● Work towards expanding Paytm’s presence in global commerce by enabling frictionless international payment experiences for businesses and consumers.
Qualifications & Skills:
● Engineering graduate / Postgraduate in Business or related field.
● 5–10 years of experience in Enterprise Sales / Business Development in Payments, Fintech, SaaS, or BFSI.
● Strong experience in hunting large enterprise clients and closing strategic deals.
● Deep understanding of payment gateway ecosystem, APIs, integrations, settlement, and digital payments landscape.
● Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and acquiring large enterprise accounts.
● Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
● Ability to build CXO-level relationships and drive strategic partnerships.
● Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand merchant business models.
