Why Work Here:

For 30 years, Golkin Enterprises & Paul Davis Restoration has been a leader in the DC Metro construction industry. We are a fast-growing organization driven by a clear mission: to help others, challenge ourselves to improve daily, and create opportunities for our team.

We are seeking a proactive HR Manager ready to take the next step in their career. If you are ready to run your own department and help our teammates operate at their full potential, this is the role for you.

Our Core Values (Who We Are):

  • We have each other’s backs: We set the next person up to win and seek to understand by listening more than we speak.
  • Integrity first: We do the right thing, even when no one is looking.
  • Extreme ownership: We take responsibility before we are held accountable, and we don't stop until we hit our goals.
  • Impact-driven: We care deeply about improving our community and making a positive difference in the lives of our team and customers.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Department Leadership: Lead the day-to-day HR operations, policies, programs, and procedures across our different brands.
  • Full-Cycle Recruiting & Onboarding: Manage the entire hiring lifecycle—from job postings, screening, and interviews, to offers and facilitating complete employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Employee Relations & Communication: Support employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving issues professionally, and promoting highly effective communication across the team.
  • Performance Management: Administer performance review processes to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance, working with managers to elevate their teams.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer benefits programs, handle enrollment, and support all benefits-related communication.
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, company policies, and HR best practices. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
  • Training & Support: Train and support managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, safety, and workplace topics.
  • Reporting & Process Improvement: Track HR metrics, analyze workforce trends, and prepare reports for senior management. Continually recommend process improvements to strengthen efficiency, engagement, retention, and workplace culture.

What You Bring (Who You Are & Qualifications):

  • Experience: Previous experience in HR management with knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, benefits, performance management, and compliance. (Bachelor’s degree and SHRM or industry-related designations are a plus!)
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with HR systems, employee records, reporting tools, or workforce analytics.
  • Adaptability & Organization: You have strong organizational and time-management skills, and can easily shift gears weekly to support our different brands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Discretion: You communicate effectively with everyone from entry-level team members to the company President, handling sensitive issues with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Balanced Leadership: You care deeply about doing the right thing for people but understand how to make the tough decisions necessary for the team's overall success.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Competitive salary with opportunities for growth
  • Profit-sharing and 401(k) plans
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off (holidays, vacation, and sick leave) plus paid parental leave
  • Company-provided electronic devices and IT training
  • Paid training and certifications
  • Opportunities for volunteering and community engagement

We are looking forward to connecting and discussing this opportunity!
