Responsibilities
~1 min readYou are accountable for everything our technicians do. Safety and quality are critical. Customer experience and profitability is your outcome. You will be responsible for 2 countries, 7 regions, and nearly 300 technicians. Your performance is critical to the entire EV industry, since your technicians fix most of the chargers deployed in North America. Within your first year, you'll have leveled up the current field of technicians and built two centers of competence for commissioning and construction.
Recruit, develop and lead field service managers to operate a customer-centric organization. You create a culture where people take ownership, show concern about the fine details, solve problems quickly and work safely.
You seek long-term solutions and implement processes that simplify a complex industry. You work across the company to find the root cause to friction and use your influence to fix it collaboratively. You're always looking for systems to automate our manual processes to free your team up for high-value tasks.
In areas or situations where hiring is not feasible, ensure that subcontractors are held to the same high standards as employees; our customer should not notice a difference in who does the work because everything executed under your leadership is quality.
Your north star is to build a field service team that is the standard of excellence within the EV industry, while delivering margins that represent value for our shareholders.
- 7+ years of building teams, with a majority in renewable energy, preferably EV.
- Deep Field Service operational expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to scale rapidly without breaking things.
- A contagious "whatever it takes" mindset and high-agency approach to problem solving.
- Strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution capability. (You'll be one of very few field service Senior Managers in the industry issued a work truck and tools to enable your desire to lead through example).
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a record of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. People follow you wherever you go.
Construction and commissioning experience; you can arrive to any jobsite and spot opportunities and safety issues
