Quick Summary
Proven experience deploying and managing mobile applications to the Play Store and App Store using automated CI/CD tools like Fastlane and Jenkins.
How would you like your code to be used by millions of people every single day? As a React Native Developer on our Mobile Apps team, you will drive the evolution of Canada’s largest weather apps (The Weather Network and MétéoMédia) as well as Spain’s top weather platform (El Tiempo).
We are currently optimizing and scaling our next-generation Weather applications—a single app binary that supports multiple brands and platforms. If you love solving complex, high-traffic technical challenges, want to champion clean architecture, and are excited about using modern AI development tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate real-world features—we want you on our team.
Architect & Innovate: Design, develop, and optimize high-performance features for our React Native applications.
Own the Lifecycle: Take ownership of end-to-end features, from writing clean, robust code to managing smooth deployments to the App Store and Google Play using Jenkins and Fastlane.
Scale for Millions: Continuously optimize code for lightning-fast performance, low latency, and heavy traffic spikes, leveraging AWS and on-premise based infrastructure for backend service support.
Modernize & Refactor: Keep our codebase pristine. You'll enjoy the balance of writing greenfield code from scratch and thoughtfully refactoring legacy systems, utilizing GitHub Copilot to speed up unit testing and boilerplates.
Collaborate & Build: Champion engineering best practices, participate in code reviews, and collaborate across a modern ecosystem utilizing AWS, Go, Node.js, and Kubernetes.
Roles, responsibilities and duties may evolve and change over time.
5+ years of experience with React Native and React (TypeScript proficiency is highly preferred).
App Store Deployment: Proven experience deploying and managing mobile applications to the Play Store and App Store using automated CI/CD tools like Fastlane and Jenkins.
Modern Tooling & AI: Comfortable integrating GitHub Copilot into your daily workflow to write efficient code and accelerate development.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience working alongside cloud-based architectures, specifically AWS, as well as Docker, containerization, and microservices.
Testing Champion: You are familiar and experienced in Unit and Integration Testing to ensure our apps handle heavy traffic seamlessly.
Code Versatility: Equally comfortable refactoring legacy code and writing new code from scratch.
