Financial Services Representative

Position Summary The Financial Service Representative is responsible for working with students who are past due with their payments. The position requires the ability to ask/probe for payment while providing high quality service to our students. This representative must be professional and willing to work as a team player within a high performance, metric-driven area. The Financial Service Representative will work in a blended phone environment receiving inbound calls and handling dialer calls via auto-dialer campaigns. Salary: $17/hour Essential Job Functions Collect on past due accounts via inbound/dialer campaigns Probe for payment/process payment or attempt to secure payment Use appropriate call disposition to ensure proper revenue classification Handle a high volume of calls via inbound/dialer campaigns Provide a thorough review of past due status, potential hold on account, additional fees and collection agency risk Update records promptly following all account interactions Adhere to department policies and procedures designed to measure and reward performance Provide feedback and suggestions to management team Perform other duties as business conditions warrant Interact with other departments as needed Embody and abide by the Penn Foster Group Culture Codes Contribute to monthly team goals Adhere to schedule requirements, including attendance and system adherence metrics Team player   Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Education: High School diploma or GED required Experience: Collections or Customer Service experience preferred Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, Microsoft outlook, demonstrated competency handling high volume of inbound and dialer calls Other requirements: Proper phone etiquette, strong communication skills, active listening, problem solving skills, self-motivation, goal-oriented, excellent attendance record   About Us:  At Penn Foster Group, we are transforming online learning to help learners by uniting Penn Foster, CareerStep, Ashworth College, James Madison High School, the New York Institute of Photography, the New York Institute of Art and Design, and other education platforms.
