We are currently hiring Full-Time Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) for Day Shift and Night Shift positions.

As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll work directly with patients in our inpatient behavioral health hospital by providing support, supervision, encouragement, and compassionate care in a safe, structured therapeutic environment.

You'll collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other members of the treatment team to help patients achieve recovery while ensuring a safe and positive treatment experience.

• →Provide direct patient care and supervision throughout the shift
• →Monitor patient behaviors and obtain vital signs
• →Complete routine safety rounds and accurate documentation
• →Assist with admissions, patient orientation, and discharge activities
• →Support patients with daily living activities while promoting independence and healthy coping skills
• →Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques during behavioral crises
• →Escort patients to groups, appointments, and treatment activities
• →Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
• →Communicate patient concerns and behavioral changes promptly to nursing staff
• →Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide outstanding patient care

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year of direct behavioral health or psychiatric patient care experience
• One (1) year of Military Corpsman experience
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or another behavioral health-related field with mental health experience
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with previous behavioral health or psychiatric patient care experience

• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Ability to obtain Handle With Care certification during orientation
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
