Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is looking for a Director of Corporate Development to lead and execute the company’s most critical strategic initiatives, including M&A, capital formation, and the identification and integration of breakthrough technologies that will define the future of clean metals production. This role will work directly with executive leadership to source, evaluate, and execute acquisitions, partnerships, and investments while continuously scanning the landscape for emerging technologies that can accelerate Phoenix’s mission. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term growth strategy and building the technological and operational foundation required to scale clean, domestic critical metals production.
Lead end-to-end execution of financings, M&A transactions, and strategic partnerships that accelerate Phoenix Tailings’ growth
Own the development and execution of corporate development strategy aligned with scaling clean metals production globally
Build and oversee advanced financial models to evaluate capital allocation, project investments, and strategic opportunities
Drive international expansion initiatives, including market entry strategy and partnership development
Produce and deliver high-impact materials for investors, board members, and executive leadership, including fundraising and strategic presentations
Lead investor engagement efforts, including diligence processes, communications, and relationship management
Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within critical metals and clean technology sectors
Establish and track key financial and operational metrics to inform executive decision-making and company strategy
8+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or transaction advisory roles
Experience within engineering, materials science, chemistry, or other relevant technical fields
Proven track record leading M&A transactions, capital raises, or strategic investments from sourcing through execution
Expert-level financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
Experience engaging directly with investors, lenders, and strategic partners
Strong ability to translate complex financial and strategic concepts into clear, compelling materials for senior stakeholders
Deep interest in infrastructure, clean technology, or industrial sectors
Demonstrated ability to operate independently in fast-paced, high-growth environments
This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary + discretionary bonus for this role. Total package may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay Range: $190,000- $240,000 total cash compensation plus equity
