At PredictX, we do not "draw screens." We architect the systems that empower our Product Owners to generate them. You will act as the "Editor-in-Chief" of our user experience, shifting your focus from pixel production to system governance, algorithmic guardrails, and strategic curation.
As the Product Governance Lead, you will serve as the "System Governor" working with human and AI developers ("Generators") to accelerate the product development lifecycle.Your role is to provide the "rails" on which these engines run. You are responsible for the "Source of Truth". You will bridge the gap between business intent and engineering reality by ensuring every product meets our strict standards for consistency, accessibility, and brand integrity.
System Governance (Registry Management): Directly manage the version-controlled JSON/CSS Registry that serves as the programmatic source of truth for product development. You will manage the registries, CSS variables, and design tokens that serve as the vocabulary and resources for our human and AI developers (e.g., v0.dev).Accessibility & Ethical Compliance: Enforce strict governance on all prototypes. You are the gatekeeper ensuring contrast ratios, semantic HTML, and focus states meet WCAG standards, correcting AI defaults that prioritize aesthetics over accessibility.Systemic Logic Research: You will research context optimisation to make sure that complex user intents are reflected in the System Governance (Registry Management): Directly manage the version-controlled JSON/CSS Registry that serves as the programmatic source of truth for product development. You will manage the registries, CSS variables, and design tokens that serve as the vocabulary and resources for our human and AI developers (e.g., v0.dev).Accessibility & Ethical Compliance: Enforce strict governance on all prototypes. You will manage the registries, CSS variables, and design tokens that serve as the vocabulary and resources for our human and AI developers (e.g., v0.dev).Architecting the "Truth": Collaborate with Engineering to maintain the Git Repository that houses the design registry. You will ensure that design consistency is enforced algorithmically through code updates, rather than manually through style guides.Mentorship & Cultural Shift: Guide Product Owners in "Prompt Engineering" to help them utilize the design registry effectively, and foster a culture where design is seen as a system of logic rather than just visual decoration.Decommissioned Task Management: This role does not involve the manual creation of high-fidelity mockups or wireframes. You will oversee the transition away from static design files toward a dynamic, code-driven generative pipeline.
Hybrid Design-Engineering Fluency: You must be comfortable treating Code as the Source of Truth. Proficiency in CSS, Tailwind, and reading/editing JSON configuration files is essential.Technical Proficiency: Proven experience managing Git workflows (Pull Requests, Merge Conflicts) and CI/CD pipelines for design assets. Expert-level proficiency in JSON, CSS Variables, and Tailwind configuration.Design Systems Architecture: Proven experience building and maintaining complex Design Systems (e.g., Shadcn/UI, Storybook). You understand how to tokenize a brand and enforce it via code.Frontier Models: Fluency and experience working with and developing systems with any of the major frontier AI modelsGovernance Mindset: Experience acting as an editor or art director. You are comfortable critiquing and refining work generated by others (or AI) rather than needing to create every element yourself.AI Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Generative UI tools (v0.dev, Galileo AI, Uizard) and an understanding of how to constrain these models using registries and context.Automated & Manual Linting: You are a technical auditor. You will perform regression testing on semantic HTML and ARIA attributes, ensuring that machine-produced code meets strict technical compliance standards that go beyond visual aesthetics.Leadership & Communication: Ability to articulate "The Why" of design decisions to Product Owners and Developers, helping align technical solutions with business goals.
Frontend Development: Experience and proficiency in React or similar frameworks to directly manipulate component libraries in the Git repository.Prompt Engineering: Experience writing structured prompts that reference design tokens to generate specific outputs.Research Strategy: Experience designing and leading qualitative research studies that drive product strategy.
Languages/Stack: CSS/Tailwind, JSON, Basic Git/GitHub, TypescriptMethodologies: Atomic Design, Design Ops, Agile/Scrum.
