  • Working Arrangements: Hybrid. The preferred work location is Canberra and Sydney. The Labour Hire Worker is required to work from the applicable office at least 2 days per week. A Working from Home Agreement must be formalised with the Buyer representative before commencing flexible work arrangements. The Labour Hire Worker must adhere to the annual closedown as defined in the Buyers' Enterprise Agreement and public holidays.
  • Maximum Hours: 40 hours per week

Cloud Specialist (AWS), to undertake tasks that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Contribute to the design, development, enhancement, support and maintenance of Cloud hosted platforms covering AWS Technologies;
  • Provide technical advice as required to other teams within the Information Technology (IT) Division and Managed Services Provider(s) by co-ordinating with vendors
  • Provide technical coaching on Cloud hosting solutions to other IT Division staff as appropriate;
  • Provide hands-on support for BAU, project and Landing Zone uplift activities.
  • Going through the Tenable/Vulnerability system to identify vulnerabilities and remediate.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of appropriate technical standards and procedures for relevant applications; and
  • Under the direction of the team leader, manage own work priorities to achieve individual work accountability's and deliverables in compliance with endorsed enterprise architecture; and
  • Contribute towards knowledge transfer of skills and mentor staff as appropriate.
  • Proven knowledge and demonstrated experience in automating tasks with code automation;
  • Capability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with end users, key stakeholders, and suppliers;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proven capability to work within tight deadlines and execute with limited information and ambiguity;
  • Contribute towards knowledge transfer of skills and mentor staff as appropriate;

The Key duties & Responsibilities for the Cloud Specialist (AWS) include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, implement, support, and maintain AWS cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Provide hands-on support for BAU operations, project delivery, Landing Zone uplift activities, and infrastructure automation initiatives.
  • Monitor, identify, and remediate vulnerabilities through Tenable and support enterprise security, compliance, backup, and data protection requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, managed service providers, and vendors to deliver technical advice, operational support, and cloud solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures while contributing to knowledge transfer, mentoring, and capability uplift across IT teams.

The seller must ensure that the Labour Hire worker performing the services during the term of this contract, facilitate an effective transfer of skills and knowledge to the buyer to enable full use of services and deliverables and associated documents.

The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters.

  1. Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of cloud-based IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions involving Amazon Web Services.
  2. Detailed understanding of Data Loss Prevention, Archiving, eDiscovery, and Compliance aspects at Enterprise.
  3. Assist and contribute in developing and optimising backup strategy.
  4. Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft and xUnix Infrastructure stack in hybrid cloud environments.
  5. Proven knowledge and demonstrated experience in automating tasks with code automation.
  6. Capability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with end users, key stakeholders, and suppliers.
  1. Relevant AWS certifications across architecture, security, and operations.
  2. Experience integrating AWS environments with other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This includes hybrid-cloud connectivity and workload integration.
  3. Experience designing, building, and maintaining Standard Operating Environments (SOEs) for cloud platforms, including the creation and management of Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) and AWS Marketplace AMIs.
  4. Strong experience administering and supporting Linux-based systems in enterprise and cloud environments, including system configuration, patching, scripting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
