As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team responsible for building the next generation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions on a multi-tenant pSaaS platform. You’ll have the opportunity to work on the PingOne Cloud Platform, a cutting-edge system that empowers IAM administrators to design secure, customizable user journeys at scale. Our team focuses on developing core platform features such as provisioning that ensures secure access control, user and group management while closely collaborating with Product, QA, and other engineering teams across the Agile development lifecycle. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Drive architecture, design, and development of robust, scalable, and secure solutions using Java and Kafka, with a strong focus on Identity Management platforms.
- →Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering best practices in software engineering, code quality, and agile development.
- →Partner closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and ensure timely delivery of features.
- →Own end-to-end system design and implementation strategies, ensuring they align with both technical and business goals.
- →Actively contribute to the codebase, and conduct code reviews to uphold high standards.
- →Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- →Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, DevOps, QA, and Security teams to ensure reliable delivery pipelines and secure product releases.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proven experience designing, building, and supporting multitenant SaaS applications.
- Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot preferred) and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka.
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch
- Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions in the Identity Management domain (e.g., OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect, SSO, SCIM).
- Strong experience working in Unix/Linux-based environments.
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams and driving large-scale projects.
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Nice to Have

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) development methodologies.
- Contributions to technical blogs, open-source projects
