A Technical Product Owner drives the execution, requirement definition, and ROI for foundational products, acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams. In this role, you will be embedded with our Core Entities team in Brazil, focusing on the technical specifications and data structures that power the Platform Science ecosystem.

You will translate high-level business needs into detailed technical requirements, prioritize backlogs to ensure maximum value, and manage dependencies across international time zones. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Product. The primary work location will be daily, onsite in the Londrina, Paraná, Brazil office.

• Conduit Between Business & Technical Teams: Act as the primary bridge between business goals and technical execution for the Core Entities domain. Ensure the delivery team's work on foundational services directly contributes to platform stability and scalability.
• Roadmap Execution: Partner with Product Management to understand the product vision and take ownership of translating that vision into an executable, technical backlog.
• Backlog Health: Lead the breakdown of technical solutions into manageable user stories. Responsible for the health and prioritization of the product backlog based on technical debt, feature priorities, and cross-team dependencies.

• Cross-Team Synchronization: Proactively identify and manage technical dependencies across delivery teams, specifically coordinating between US-based product stakeholders and the Brazil-based engineering team.
• Conflict Resolution: Navigate competing priorities within the core entities domain, making informed trade-offs to ensure a cohesive data architecture across the product portfolio.
• Communication: Clearly communicate delivery goals, technical risks, and progress to leadership. Provide updates regarding milestones and "Time to Market" for core platform capabilities.

• Operational Readiness: Ensure the organization is technically ready for product releases. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure they are prepared to support new API or data capabilities.
• Release Strategy: Define the "Definition of Ready" for launches, ensuring that technical documentation, schema definitions, and internal training are completed alongside the technical "Definition of Done."
• Beta & Pilot Management: Support Early Access Programs (EAP) to gather rapid feedback on core entity features and validate technical value propositions.

• Agile Excellence: Refine technical requirements with the Brazil-based team and inspect, accept, or reject completed work from the sprint. Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies, navigating the nuances of distributed, international team dynamics.
• Tough Decision Making: Make critical calls on technical scope and content within the delivery cycle to maintain velocity without sacrificing quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current on industry trends and technical standards to ensure Platform Science remains at the forefront of transportation technology.

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of relevant Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or Business Analysis experience in an Agile software product development environment.
• Technical Focus: Proven experience working on "under-the-hood" products such as APIs, data services, or backend infrastructure.
• Global Collaboration: Experience working with distributed or offshore engineering teams.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed, and dynamic environment.
• Proven experience with effective story mapping and technical requirements elicitation.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or Certified Scrum Master or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with Agile backlog/project management tools, such as Jira.

• Transportation Industry experience.
• Prior experience as a Technical Product Owner or Systems Analyst.
• Experience creating technical diagrams or wireframes with tools such as Visio, Balsamiq, or Lucidchart.
• Fluency or proficiency in Portuguese is a plus, but not required.
