Market Data Support Engineer

As a Market Data Support Engineer, you will work on an embedded, hyper-focused team specializing Market Data engineering and support, capturing global environments. Specifically, you will:  

• Support low latency co-location environments for Market Data and front office systems running RHEL8/9 
• Manage, communicate, and implement changes (Linux and Market Data), upgrades, new co-location builds and migrations across low latency environments 
• Engage with vendors and exchanges on protocol upgrades (EDC) and operation issues 
• Liaise with Market Data capture vendors on issues, upgrades, and performance enhancements. 
• Ability to resolve production issues in a timely, effective, and professional manner under pressure 
• Perform hands-on analysis of the production systems, fault resolution, growth issues, and root cause analysis for critical issues 

• Experience with real-time native direct exchange feeds (PITCH, ITCH etc.) 
• Hands on troubleshooting experience of third-party feed handlers running within a low latency co-location environment 
• Excellent knowledge of tuning Linux for low latency, high-throughput and kernel bypass (e.g. Exanic, Solarflare, Mellanox) 
• Experience building co-locations from scratch with in-depth Linux administration experience 
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform etc.) 
• Experience with a scripting language (Bash, Python) 
• Experience with monitoring and instrumentation of infrastructure/applications (Prometheus/Grafana) 
• Independent problem solver and self-starter, skilled in troubleshooting, decision-making, and analytics
