PolyPeptide is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support the reliability and performance of our production equipment and facility systems in a GMP-regulated environment. This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently.
The Maintenance Mechanic II performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and facility systems across the site. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as pumps, compressors, vacuum systems, reactors, and HVAC units

Troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools

Maintain accurate cGMP documentation, PM records, and equipment logs
- →
Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work to support production uptime
- →
Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs as needed

Assist with equipment installations and facility upgrades

Follow all safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, chemical handling)

Provide input on equipment performance and reliability improvements
High school diploma or GED (technical certification or associate degree preferred)
3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or GMP environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and HVAC
Basic experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in cleanroom and regulated environments
Familiarity with PLC systems or automation controls (a plus)
