Java Software Engineer

FoodTec Solutions Inc., a trailblazing point-of-sale solutions provider in the restaurant industry, headquartered in Needham, MA. POS Solutions, FoodTec's Premium Partner, is based in the city of Thessaloniki and is seeking a dynamic Java Software Engineer  to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities:
A successful candidate can expect to be part of a team developing and maintaining large scale software suites aimed at providing our customers with round the clock services. Doing so relies on the applicant to be responsible for the following:

• Working with high concurrent and large scale web applications
• Analyzing and defining requirements and participating in the technical designing process
• Maintaining/troubleshooting and extending existing infrastructures
• Delivering clean and tested code
• Being able to easily adapt to new conditions and technologies

Tech Stack and Expertise:

• Core Java (8+)
• Spring
• Relational databases (e.g Oracle)
• Inhouse built ORM

Requirements:

Are you up for the challenge? Here's what you'll bring to the table:

• University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
• At least 3 years of job experience
• Java knowledge
  
• Strong analytical capabilities. Keen to learn and excel
• A knack for troubleshooting and problem-solving
  
• Great interpersonal skills and enjoy operating in a fast-paced team setting
• Proficiency in verbal and written English
  

Bonus Points for:
Experience with the following technologies will be highly appreciated:

• Spring or related JEE equivalent framework
• ORM usage and good SQL knowledge
• Working with Git as a VCS
• Linux and Windows OS
• Gradle
• Docker
