~1 min readJoining our Metro Clinic team, you will work under the guidance of the Surgical and Medical Directors to provide expert clinical care and counseling. This role focuses on the full spectrum of reproductive health, including contraception and abortion services. As a key member of our clinical team, you will help develop and implement essential processes to ensure all patient care aligns with our high standards of safety and excellence.

Reproductive Health Assessment: Obtain comprehensive medical, sexual, and social histories to guide patient care.

Options Counseling: Provide evidence-based education on all contraceptive methods and abortion procedures to ensure informed consent.

Abortion Services Support: Administer pre-operative medications, provide patient teaching, and facilitate informed consent for surgical or medical abortions.

Sedation & Recovery: Administer moderate sedation and provide specialized recovery room monitoring (ACLS required).

Diagnostic Management: Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests according to medical standards and protocols.

Emergency Response: Identify and manage clinical emergencies to ensure patient safety.

Case Management: Oversee abnormal lab follow-ups and communicate critical results to medical providers.

Legal & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all care complies with stringent Federal, State (Utah-specific), and local regulations.

On-Call Rotation: Participate in the emergency phone rotation to provide after-hours patient support.

Clinical Collaboration: Partner with the healthcare team to optimize clinic efficiency and maintain high patient care standards.

Staff Development: Act as a technical resource for the team and participate in the hiring, training, and performance reviews of new clinical staff.

Student Precepting: Supervise and participate in the clinical training of healthcare students.

Performance Improvement: Lead or support initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and operational data.
