Provide clinical leadership to support the delivery of high quality, patient-centered care across PPGR health centers. This position is responsible for the leadership, training, mentoring, development, and scheduling of all Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) and serves as a primary clinical resource for APCs and CFU staff.
The Clinical Services Lead works collaboratively with clinical and operational leadership to develop, implement, monitor, and maintain quality medical standards, clinical practices, policies, and systems supporting PPGR’s medical services, The position promotes consistency in clinical practice, supports staff competency and professional development, and helps ensure services are delivered in accordance with PPGR’s policies, established standards of care, and applicable regulatory and professional requirements.
This role provides clinical guidance and problem-solving support to staff, identifies opportunities for quality and process improvement, and assists with the implementation of clinical initiatives across the organization. The Clinical Services Lead is expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of PPGR’s clinical services and provide leadership that supports safe, efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
The position requires regular travel to all PPGR health centers and provide on-site clinical support, leadership, training, and mentoring.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in interviewing new clinicians.

Clinical onboarding of all new APCs.

Training and mentoring APCs in all PPGR health centers.

Clinical lead for APC and CFU staff clinical questions.

Provide direct patient care as assigned, approximately 70% clinical time. Evenings and weekends as needed.

Manage annual performance appraisals and clinical evaluations of APCs. Coordinate feedback from HCM, HCAs and supervising MDs. Assist in plans for performance improvement as needed.

Manage APC schedules/time off and work with Director of Health Care operations to overse health center staff schedules.

Work with Director of Health Care Operations to monitor patient schedules to ensure productivity and access for patients.

Assist with Patient Services Orientation and ongoing clinical training of health center assistants as needed.

Coordinate and facilitate clinical portion of Patient Services meetings.

Assist with clinical chart audits as needed.

Assist with updating affiliate Clinical Medical Standards & Guidelines and reviewing with staff.

Attend regular meetings with Patient Services leadership.

Requirements

Licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Clinician in Missouri and Illinois. Must ensure that all licensure and certification are up to date and copies. This is a condition of employment.

Minimum 5 years relevant clinical experience required.

Experience training/supervising/evaluating clinical staff preferred.

Leadership/Management Skills-Able to coach, mentor and develop clinical staff in the achievement of affiliate goals and build effective work teams.

Organizational Ability –Able to prioritize, focus and meet timelines.

Communication Skills – Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work positively with administrative, clinical and non-clinical staff. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Judgment & Decision Making – Able to exercise initiative, sound judgment and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process.
