Summary:
Precision Development (PxD) is looking for a driven, creative, and independent person to join a high-performing flexible team as Program Associate / Senior Program Associate to deliver high-profile initiatives delivering around agriculturally-relevant weather forecasts to smallholder farmers at scale. In this role, you will initially oversee PxD’s work in India to institutionalize weather forecast dissemination to smallholders. Based in New Delhi, you will work closely with government stakeholders at national and state levels, operating at the intersection of policy, climate adaptation, and data-driven service delivery.
This role builds on PxD’s demonstrated success in pioneering digital advisory services. In 2025, PxD worked with partners to disseminate AI-generated monsoon forecasts to 39+ million farmers across 13 states. In 2026, this has scaled to 52+ million farmers. The PM/SPM will play a key role in driving this scale-up across geographies, refining the service through adaptive learning, and working with governments to design these programs for long-term impact and sustainability. The successful candidate will play a critical and exciting role of helping PxD develop and execute key climate-focused initiatives through its partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and other partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in executing program tasks in alignment with the workplan
- Interface between our tech, research, and program teams to design and iterate on products, including spending time with frontline staff and farmers in the field to ensure that our products are closely aligned to user needs
- Assist in managing partner relations (particularly government-facing)
- Draft program documentation, maintain summaries of meetings, support preparation of reports, presentations, and written communication materials
- Contribute to general management tasks important for the organization's functioning and success, including but not limited to budgeting, performance management, and hiring
- Support the team in organizing events; writing blogs and policy briefs, as needed
Who You Are:
- Entrepreneurial & Data-Driven: Motivated to build and refine operational and programmatic processes, with a track record of working effectively in dynamic environments
- Government-Oriented Collaborator: Experience and interest in working with government to scale impact, comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments
- User-Centered & Field-Ready: Humble, curious, and enthusiastic about spending time in the field designing with and for end users — particularly farmers and frontline staff
- Multifaceted Executor: Experience in multi-faceted roles with the ability to balance and prioritize across multiple projects and stakeholders
- Strong Communicator: Advanced writing and presentation skills in English, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, accessible materials for diverse audiences
Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial, data-driven, and motivated to build and refine operational and programmatic processes
- Experience and interest in working with government to scale impact
- Humble, curious, and user-oriented, with enthusiasm to spend time in the field designing with and for our users
- Experience in a multi-faceted role, with the ability to balance and prioritize across multiple projects and stakeholders
- Strong writing and oral communication skills in English, with attention to detail and advanced writing and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites in India
- Some understanding of PxD's approach to research and behavioral economics
- Some understanding of experimental economics (or skills in STATA/R) would be a plus
- Previous product management experience is a plus

About PxD
PxD is a global non-profit that harnesses the power of technology, data science, and behavioral economics to provide targeted information to farmers in low and middle-income countries. Providing the right information to the right people in the right way and at the right time increases incomes, protects the environment, and improves well-being. We are evidence-based: we test our interventions with randomized controlled trials to prove our impact and cost-effectiveness, to simultaneously learn from and improve our service, and to demonstrate our value to funders and partners. There are few programmes in international development that are as demonstrably cost-effective as ours.
