Data Management Consultant

At Projective Group, we’re looking for a data‑driven consultant who’s ready to help our clients in the financial sector strengthen the way they work with data.

As a Data consultant you’ll get a variety of tasks, including:

• Work together with your colleagues to advise financial‑sector clients on how to better organise, structure, and use their data.

• Assist in assessments by collecting artefacts, documenting current‑state practices, and compiling maturity evidence across key data domains.

• Help design and implement practical frameworks for defining, documenting, securing, and using data across the organisation.

• Translate business challenges into basic data requirements and user stories, contributing to solution outlines for reporting, platforms, and AI use cases.

• Perform data profiling and quality checks (SQL and tooling) to identify inconsistencies and summarise findings for remediation.

• Support Data Owners, Stewards, IT, and business teams in defining data rules, standards, and metadata in tools like Collibra, Alation, or Purview.

• Contribute to regulatory alignment tasks (GDPR, BCBS239, DORA) and prepare inputs for automated checks, profiling, and dashboards.

• Assist in workshops and stakeholder interviews, gather requirements, and produce clear notes, process flows, and RACI drafts.

• Fluent Dutch and English (French is a plus)

• Master’s degree in the field of business, economics, management, data management, IT or similar

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Data Governance / Data Management domain

• Knowledge of Data Governance concepts (data catalogus, business glossaries) and tools (Collibra, Purview, Alation)

• Exposure to BCBS 239, GDPR, DORA, ...

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and profiling and basic Python for data quality checks

• Combining excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Structured in thinking, attention to detail with documentation rigor

• Conceptual understanding of DCAM and/or DAMA-DMBOK and AI governance principles
