The Department works closely with patients, healthcare professionals and health systems to support medicines optimisation through education and practice‑informed learning.

About the Role

We are seeking a teaching‑focused Lecturer in Pharmacy (Level B) to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of integrated, practice‑based pharmacy education. In this role you will

  • Deliver high‑quality, teaching‑focused pharmacy education across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with an initial emphasis on the Doctor of Pharmacy and integrated, practice‑based learning.
  • Design and contribute to authentic learning and assessment experiences—including case‑based activities, simulations and integrated curriculum components—that connect knowledge, skills and contemporary pharmacy practice.
  • Work collaboratively within a collegial teaching team to support curriculum integration, quality assurance and continuous improvement, with scope to expand teaching responsibilities and contribute to curriculum leadership over time.

You will bring a strong commitment to teaching excellence and contemporary pharmacy practice, along with:

  • A PhD or higher professional qualification relevant to pharmacy practice education.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering innovative, practice‑informed teaching, including case‑based, simulation or integrated learning approaches.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement contemporary assessment strategies aligned with learning outcomes and professional standards.
  • Current general registration with Ahpra as a pharmacist in Australia, with recent clinical practice experience.
  • A collaborative, inclusive approach to teaching and service, with the ability to contribute positively to team, School and University activities.
