The Data Licensing Counsel will support the growth, implementation, and management of the organization's data licensing and product strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO), this U.S.-based role focuses on supporting data procurement and data usage within Prove’s solutions.
Responsibilities
~4 min read- →Manage the legal aspects of acquiring, using and sharing data, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements and ensuring compliance with evolving privacy laws.
- →Analyze and assess existing data-related licenses and supporting agreements.
- →Develop and maintain an internal knowledge base to communicate key data-related contractual rights and obligations to cross-functional stakeholders.
- →Assist Prove’s vendor risk management team in reviewing data and privacy-related components of the due diligence program.
- →Assist CPO with privacy and data governance-related internal and external audits.
- →Develop and improve templates, playbooks, and similar documentation to help support the above responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- →Must be admitted, active, and in good standing with the state bar in which the position is located, or with another state bar
- →Minimum five years of professional experience in an international company or in an international law firm
- →Minimum of 2-3 years experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating data licensing agreements
- →Ability to work in a multi-product, global, and evolving environment while organizing and managing multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines
- →Demonstrated success working with a remote team

- →Strong passion for learning about our products and markets through in-house and external training

The anticipated salary for this role is $190,000 - $210,000. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, geo-location and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Prove follows a market driven compensation philosophy based on geographic location and respective market rates. Job offers will be aligned to location. Please speak with your recruiter if you have questions. Prove defines:
