This is a role for an engineering leader who wants real influence — over platform direction, technical decision-making, and how an already strong engineering organisation evolves into its next phase. You’ll lead experienced engineering leaders across a platform environment where reliability, transaction integrity, product quality, and pace all matter. You’ll help shape technical direction, improve decision-making, and strengthen how Engineering and Product work together.

You’ll have the space to:

• lead through strong managers and senior engineers

• influence architecture, sequencing, and platform evolution

• partner deeply with Product on roadmap realism and trade-offs

• support the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices without losing quality, judgement, or trust

• reduce friction, lift clarity, and improve delivery confidence

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• leadership of multiple engineering teams through other leaders

• experience in payments, billing, fintech, or other transaction-heavy platforms

• strong technical judgement across platform evolution, architecture, reliability, and scale

• real Product partnership, not stakeholder management from the sidelines

• curiosity about where software engineering is going, including AI-enabled product and engineering capability

• a calm, credible style that builds trust and alignment quickly
