The Queen Alexandra Charity Birmingham has a mission to ‘empower young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their ambitions and to lead fulfilling lives’. This is achieved through four service areas - College, Community, Residential and Enterprises. The organisation supports young adults with a diverse range of complexities and abilities and has specialisms in autism and associated complex behaviours and visual impairment, however it is a multi-disability organisation. The organisation has over 450 staff and has been accredited with Investors in People Silver. The organisation has been through a period of growth in terms of service areas, student and client numbers, increased staffing and income, with growth remaining a key part of the organisational strategy.
The post holder will have teaching responsibility for the Vocational Health and Social Care programme and will input where appropriate to the Health and Social Care programme from Level 1 to Level 3, who will require highly individualised approaches to learning in and out of the classroom. The post is located in the Vocational team.
Hours: 39 Working Weeks - (8.45 - 16.45) across 3 days (part time)
Salary: Tutor Salaries are banded based on qualified status and experience.
Unqualified - £24,416.64 - £26,248.22
Q1 - £27,734.40 - £32,106.24
Salary will be pro-rata'd for part time hours
