Could It Be You? The RESP Administrator is a critical member of our Brokerage Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant setup, maintenance, and servicing of Registered Education Savings Plan accounts governed by the Canada Education Savings Program and Revenu Quebec. The Administrator will review onboarding documentation, process client requests and update client accounts in accordance with CESP regulations and Questrade’s internal operations procedures, while continually being vigilant of the customer experience. This role ensures the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of documents and transactions, directly impacting the integrity of client records and the firm’s overall service delivery. Keep reading… In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Process client requests for RESPs by following Questrade, Canada Education Savings Program (CESP) and Revenu Quebec (RQ) policies and procedures Process Education Assistance Payment (EAP) and Post-Secondary Education (PSE) withdrawals, Capital Withdrawals, Accumulated Income Payments and Rollovers Ensure all notional values for RESP transfers are completed and accurate Understand the rules and payment schedules relating to federal and provincial grants including CESG, additional CESG, CLB, Adult CLB and QESI. Review daily/monthly RESP reports involving grant payments, incorrect KYC information, notional updates for RESP to RESP external and internal transfers. Investigate client queries and respond accordingly while maintaining exceptional levels of client service   Investigate and correct errors related to account setups, maintenance changes, or money movement processing. Assist in creating and maintaining team policies and procedures. Input and verify data in core brokerage systems and industry platforms. Maintain organized electronic documentation and audit trails for all processed requests. Adhere strictly to anti-money laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other regulatory procedures during account maintenance and servicing activities. Remain current on all internal policies and industry regulations pertaining to account administration and client data privacy. Complete daily processing of tasks within departmental standards Collaborate with other Questrade departments as required Review all required documentations that are needed to complete tasks Perform any other duties as required and/or assigned.   So are YOU our next Administrator, Registered Plans? You are if you… Hold a College or University degree or equivalent (preferably in an administration and/or finance area). Possess 1+ years of brokerage experience, preferably in RESP Administration. Have a basic understanding of financial services compliance standards (e.g., KYC, AML). Maintain a strong understanding of the investment industry (considered an asset). Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an extraordinary attention to detail. Exhibit strong critical thinking and the ability to decompose complex concepts into simple and compelling messages. Have a working knowledge of registered accounts, with a specific emphasis on RESPs. Are proficient in G-Suite, especially Google Sheets. Have experience using Broadridge BPS (preferred and considered an asset). Possess excellent communication skills. Maintain a positive attitude and a strong client orientation. Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking capabilities. Apply a high level of attention to detail in all tasks. Show excellent time management skills. Have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Possess the curiosity to learn and understand the "why" and "how."
