General Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Algorithm Development Engineer with expertise in adaptive filter theory and mathematical optimization. The role focuses on designing, analyzing, and optimizing advanced signal processing algorithms for voice and audio applications, including echo cancellation, noise suppression, and beamforming. You will work at the intersection of DSP and applied mathematics, contributing to state-of-the-art AI based Speech enhancement and on-device audio technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop advanced audio signal processing algorithms for voice applications including ECNS, speech enhancement, and beamforming.
• Develop and optimize adaptive filtering algorithms (LMS, NLMS, RLS, variants) for echo cancellation, Noise suppression, multi-microphone beamforming and source tracking and localization.
• Develop algorithm design by mathematical modeling and analysis of audio signals and system behavior.
• Improve robustness and performance across real-world acoustic environments.
• Collaborate with ML, systems, and implementation teams to ensure production readiness.
• Support debugging, tuning, and troubleshooting algorithm performance issues for commercialized solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
• 3-5 years of experience in audio/signal processing algorithm development.
• Deep understanding of adaptive filter theory (LMS, NLMS, RLS, Kalman filtering).
• Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical signal processing.
• Experience with mathematical optimization techniques.
• Expertise in MATLAB and/or Python.
• Good programming skills in C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ECNS or echo cancellation systems.
• Experience with multi-microphone systems and beamforming.
• Exposure to DSP + AI hybrid audio systems.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time constraints.
• Experience analyzing real-world audio issues and system-level tradeoffs.
Education Requirements
Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
