## Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: ### Required Qualifications * ### Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * ### 3+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development, with significant focus on Wi‑Fi or other wireless technologies. * ### Strong proficiency in C for embedded systems; good understanding of real‑time constraints, memory/performance optimization. * ### Solid knowledge of 802.11 protocols and Wi‑Fi stack (MAC state machines, management/control frames, scanning, association, roaming, security, QoS). * ### Experience with RTOS or bare‑metal firmware on SoCs / MCUs. * ### Experience debugging low‑level firmware issues with tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and internal debug logs. * ### Strong understanding of: * ### Interrupt handling, DMA, timers, power management. * ### Hardware–software interfaces, register programming, and driver/firmware interaction. * ### Proven ability to own features independently and drive complex issues to closure. ### Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have * ### Experience with advanced Wi‑Fi features: * ### 802.11ax/11be (OFDMA, MU‑MIMO, TWT, MLO, spatial reuse). * ### Dual‑band simultaneous (DBS), multi‑band operations (MBO), advanced roaming. * ### Experience with coexistence (Wi‑Fi/BT/LTE/UWB) algorithms. * ### Familiarity with Linux Wi‑Fi host drivers (e.g., qcacld/ath11k/etc.) and host–firmware interfaces (WMI/HTT or similar). * ### Experience in power optimization for battery‑operated/IoT devices. * ### Exposure to customer‑facing bring‑up, field issue debug, or interoperability testing. * ### Contributions to Wi‑Fi standards, open‑source drivers, or internal architecture frameworks. * ### Strong communication skills and prior experience as a technical lead / mentor. ### Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
