## Company: Qualcomm China ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Test Engineering General Summary: Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Engineer to drive both automotive test automation and next-generation GenAI platform development. This role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, AI-assisted engineering tools, and intelligent workflows that improve product quality, engineering efficiency, and development velocity. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in automation, system integration, and GenAI-based tool development. Key Responsibilities 1\. Test Automation * Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks for scalable validation and regression coverage. * Drive sanity, regression, and KPI automation to improve test efficiency, execution quality, and release readiness. * Build automation solutions using Python, Robot Framework, and CI/CD pipelines. * Improve automation stability, reliability, and scalability across test environments and infrastructure. * Enable data-driven engineering insights through dashboards, KPI tracking, and result analytics. 2\. GenAI Tool Development * Design and develop GenAI-powered engineering tools using Qualcomm in-house AI SDKs and internal AI platforms. * Build multi-agent workflows for test generation, debugging, knowledge assistance, and engineering task automation. * Develop AI assistants for test development, coding productivity, issue triage, and knowledge search. * Integrate AI solutions with engineering systems such as Jira, Confluence, source repositories, and CI/CD toolchains. * Evaluate emerging GenAI technologies and rapidly prototype proof-of-concept solutions for engineering use cases. 3\. Innovation & System Development * Build end-to-end intelligent automation systems that connect requirements, test generation, script development, execution, and result delivery. * Develop and optimize multi-agent architectures to improve automation efficiency and engineering workflow orchestration. * Drive practical integration of AI and automation to accelerate engineering productivity and solution scalability. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact use cases and produce innovative solutions. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field. * 6+ years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or related technical domains. * Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar languages. * Hands-on experience with automation frameworks, test infrastructure, and CI/CD systems. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement practical engineering solutions. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with automotive software or embedded platform validation. * Experience with GenAI, LLM-based tools, AI agents, or intelligent workflow development. * Familiarity with Robot Framework and large-scale automation infrastructure. * Experience integrating internal or third-party tools with Jira, Confluence, Git, and related engineering platforms. * Experience in prototyping, evaluating, and scaling AI-enabled productivity solutions in engineering environments. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience. • 2+ year of work experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans, and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).
