## Company: QT Technologies Ireland Limited ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > ASICS Engineering General Summary: About the Team You will join Qualcomm’s Test & Verification Engineering team, a group that plays a critical role in delivering reliable, high‑quality AI and system software across Qualcomm platforms. The team designs and maintains automated testing, verification, and CI/CD infrastructure used by machine learning, systems, and embedded engineering teams across the company. Our work enables engineers to move fast while maintaining quality, scale, and reliability. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate with software engineers, ML engineers, and systems teams in Ireland and globally—learning how large‑scale production systems are verified and delivered to customers. About the Role This is a hands‑on engineering role ideal for someone early to mid‑career who wants to grow their skills in test automation, system verification, and developer tooling. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers who will mentor and support you as you learn how to design automated tests, improve CI/CD pipelines, and diagnose system‑level issues. Over time, you’ll build a strong understanding of how complex software systems are tested, validated, and released at scale. What You Will Learn In this role, you will have the opportunity to: * Learn how large‑scale automated test systems support real‑world AI and embedded software products * Develop strong skills in Python‑based test automation * Gain experience working with CI/CD systems, embedded devices, and automated test environments * Learn how to debug and diagnose failures across software, infrastructure, and test frameworks * Build an understanding of system‑level trade‑offs around performance, reliability, and scalability * Be introduced to modern tooling (including AI‑assisted workflows) that improves developer productivity Key Responsibilities With support and guidance from senior team members, you will: * Develop and maintain automated test and verification scripts for software systems * Write and improve Python‑based test automation used within CI/CD pipelines * Contribute to CI systems (e.g. Jenkins) by helping with test jobs, pipelines, and basic infrastructure tasks * Help monitor and troubleshoot test failures and infrastructure issues * Work with teammates to improve test coverage, reliability, and execution time * Collaborate with engineers across teams to understand requirements and expected system behaviour * Document your work and share learnings with the wider team Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience) * 1-2 years of experience in software development, test automation, or a related engineering role * Programming experience in Python or another modern language (C, C++, Java, etc.) * Familiarity with Linux development environments Nice to Have (You Can Learn on the Job) * Exposure to automated testing or verification concepts * Basic familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins * Experience using Git, Docker, or similar development tools * Interest in system‑level testing, infrastructure, or developer productivity tooling Why Join Qualcomm in Cork You’ll be based in Cork, Ireland, one of Qualcomm’s key European engineering hubs. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
