## Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: Job Overview - Dept Description and Job Duties: We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Lead to provide technical leadership and drive execution across complex, high‑impact chipset programs. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in HW–SW integration, including processors (ARM/RISC‑V), interconnects, clock and power management, and external interfaces (SPI/UART/I3C), along with strong experience in system partitioning and software performance optimization across SoCs. This role requires a proven ability to lead through influence, align global cross‑functional teams, and build high‑performing organizations while delivering execution excellence. * Serve as the Embedded Systems Lead and a key member of the Wearables Engineering team, driving technical direction and execution strategy. * Demonstrate expert‑level understanding of embedded systems, particularly at the HW–SW interface, including strong BSP expertise. * Bring solid experience with modern processor architectures (ARM, RISC‑V). * Possess deep understanding of SoC fundamentals, including interconnects (AXI/AHB/NoC), memory hierarchy (RAM/DRAM/cache), clock and power management, and external interfaces (SPI, UART, I3C). * Lead system‑level feature partitioning, performance optimization, and stabilization across multi‑SoC chipsets. * Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, uCOS, Zephyr); familiarity with HLOS kernels (Embedded Linux, Android Wear) is a plus. * Exposure to connectivity stacks (Bluetooth, WLAN, UWB) is desirable. * Provide strong technical and execution leadership across programs, products, and customer engagements. * Drive embedded architecture, requirements clarity, and alignment to meet power and performance KPIs. * Influence and align global cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver cohesive outcomes. * Lead through influence—driving results without authority via credibility, collaboration, and clear communication. * Build and mentor high‑performing teams while proactively managing risks, customer engagements, and executive communication. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. • 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline (Master’s preferred). * 14+ years of experience in connectivity, embedded software, systems engineering, or related domains. * Strong technical expertise in embedded systems, BSP, HW-SW interface * Proven track record of leading large, complex engineering programs and driving execution across global teams. * Demonstrated success influencing cross‑functional organizations and delivering results without direct authority. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
