Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field. Qualcomm Global SoC Central Physical Design team in Bangalore is actively seeking candidates for positions for developing synthetic data generation algorithms for SoC applications. These algorithms will help Qualcomm create chips that deliver the best power, performance and area, while minimizing compute and designer effort. The ideal candidate has a BS or MS in EE/ECE/CS, and 0-4 years of experience in developing complex algorithmic software in Python. Familiarity with VLSI physical design algorithms is a strong plus. The most important attributes for this role are strong inter-personal and communication skills, ability to work with a global team, a positive attitude and intellectual curiosity. Description: * Work with physical design experts to understand layout patterns in hand-designed digital blocks * Design and develop algorithms to replicate these patterns in synthetic data, to train GenAI models * Test and deploy software implementations of these algorithms, and incorporate customer feedback into improving the algorithms Skills: * The ideal candidate has a BS or MS in EE/ECE/CS, and 0-4 years of experience in developing complex algorithmic software in Python. * Strong Python skills, geometry packages such as shapely, docker * Graph algorithms, combinatorial algorithms, optimization are a strong plus * SOC domain and AI/ML background are a strong plus Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
