Sourcing Specialist (Semiconductors)

## Company: QUALCOMM SEMICONDUCTORES Y SISTEMAS AVANZADOS DE BAJA CALIFORNIA ## Job Area: Operations Group, Operations Group > Sourcing General Summary: Highly skilled SOURCING Specialist with an ENGINEERING background in the semiconductor industry, particularly in packaging, assembly, and contract manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Sourcing or related work experience. OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of Sourcing or related work experience. OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Sourcing or related work experience. *Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience. * ## Align RFQ submissions with long-term sourcing strategies for semiconductor assembly, bump, substrates, and passive components. * ## Lead end-to-end RFQ/RFI/RFP processes, including supplier engagement, deep dive quote analysis to assess competitiveness, consistency, and cost drivers across all RFQ submissions. * ## Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements in areas of technology alignment, cost, quality, and capacity. * ## Partner with package engineering, program management, and NPI teams to influence design and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO). * ## Drive cost-reduction initiatives and supplier negotiations. * ## Perform industry benchmarking and competitive analysis to build strategic supplier relationships. * ## Perform detailed cost analysis, and should-cost modeling to support sourcing decisions. * ## Develop tools (Excel / Scripts / Macros) to automate data extraction from the database and standardize calculations. * ## Ensure RFQ quote analysis is performed using validated data sources by leveraging expertise in enterprise systems such as Oracle.
