Sr. Staff Engineer – Wearable Platform Product Lead

## Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: Job Summary: Platform product team is part of Wearable Platform team, which is responsible for commercializing the Software for wearable products like Smartwatches, Kids watches, Fitness trackers. As product lead in this team, you need to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and cooperate in a highly collaborative environment that’s more startup than a big company. Being ready to jump into the unknown and take on problems spanning various domains and technology areas is the most critical skill. Key responsibilities: · Have excellent experience in Linux Android integration activities. Having Wear OS experience is a plus. · Lead end-to-end software execution, Systemic issues and delivery. · Ensure the product deliverables are made on-time, and are competitive with respect to functionality, stability, power and performance. Work closely with geographically distributed core & execution teams spread across time-zones. . Have good systemic view on the product and should be able to interact and drive the tasks to closure for Internal and External Customers . Work with our partners to ensure SW integrations and issues reported within Qualcomm and at Customer-end are taken care. Lead HLOS Image and Keystone activities Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. - Strong Integration experience (> 15 years) with Linux/Android. Software Delivery and also leading a team of product/triage Engineers - Strong hands-on experience on Android Frameworks, Wear OS and Kernel Good understanding of SOC systems and related concepts, including bring-up. - Good know-how of Product KPIs, Strong hands-on experience with troubleshooting software and system issues. Strong hands-on experience with full software development life cycle including design, implementation, deployment and support. Strong aptitude, quick learner, self-motivated, willing to explore and work across breadth of various technology areas. Good problem solving, good verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across teams Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. • 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
