The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Most projects are valued at up to $2 million and may be delivered through IDIQ, lump-sum, or fast-track contract methods.

  • Manage projects from initial planning and estimating through construction, financial management, and project closeout.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to define project goals and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Secure required permits and ensure all regulatory requirements are met when applicable.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and contract documentation.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and self-performed construction activities as needed.
  • Create and maintain critical path schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor schedule performance and identify impacts that may require adjustments or time extensions.
  • Partner with field leadership to develop and communicate look-ahead schedules.
  • Maintain project tracking tools, including submittal logs, change order logs, and related documentation.
  • Visit active job sites to monitor safety, quality, cleanliness, and overall project progress.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and project teams to achieve schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Identify potential issues early and implement effective solutions.
  • Lead project progress meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and negotiate cost estimates, proposals, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Manage project budgets and document all project changes.
  • Prepare monthly owner requisitions and oversee vendor payments in accordance with contract terms.
  • Ensure financial obligations are met accurately and on time.
  • Ensure projects comply with contract requirements, applicable regulations, and company standards.
  • Support programs related to quality control, safety, and environmental stewardship.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Accounting, Human Resources, and other support teams.
  • Manage project closeout activities and document substantial completion.
  • Participate in industry events and pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field with 4–7 years of experience working for a commercial or industrial general contractor; or
  • 10+ years of directly related construction project management experience in place of a degree.
  • Proven experience estimating and managing both subcontracted and self-performed construction work.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and institutional construction methods, renovation projects, and site work.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and construction management software.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for scheduling.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders and stairs, and perform regular field inspections.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 1–3 years of government contracting experience.
  • Current OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Current USACE/NAVFAC CQC Certification.
  • Professional credentials such as Associate Constructor (AC), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering successful construction projects.
