  • Repair and maintain heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and other motorized equipment.
  • Follow daily briefings with the Shop Foreman to carry out assigned work.
  • Minimize equipment downtime by ensuring efficient access to parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner, including mileage, hours, and repair details.
  • Route emergency repair requests to the Shop Foreman to ensure priority assignments are addressed.
  • Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Participate in team-based assignments to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with heavy equipment and/or trailers, cranes, trucks, or similar equipment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in two additional technical areas, such as:
    • Hydraulics
    • Electronics
    • Small engines
    • Other related mechanical systems
    • High School Diploma/GED with trade school or equivalent training in diesel mechanical repair and maintenance.
    • Training and experience equivalent to 2 years of technical/vocational school and 5 years of hands-on repair and maintenance experience.
    • Strong drive for achieving results and ability to convey a sense of urgency when appropriate.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
    • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be available 24/7 for emergency repairs.
  • Ability to travel out of town and out of state.
  • Up to 50% travel may be required.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, walking, standing, and lifting.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work extended hours when required.
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Assistance is required when lifting items weighing more than 75 pounds.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
  • Professional certifications related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on job responsibilities.
