Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and related machinery.

Complete preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment operational.

Review repair assignments and priorities with the Shop Foreman.

Troubleshoot urgent mechanical problems and coordinate repairs as needed.

Document completed work, including mileage, operating hours, dates, and repair information.

Help minimize equipment downtime by ensuring parts, tools, and other resources are available.

Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.

Work with other mechanics and team members to complete repairs efficiently.

Follow required safety procedures and workplace guidelines.

Travel locally, out of town, or out of state for emergency repairs, assignments, training, or meetings.

Perform other mechanical and maintenance tasks as assigned.

5+ years of maintenance experience working with heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, or similar machinery.

5+ years of hands-on repair and maintenance experience.

At least 5 years of experience in two or more of the following areas:

Hydraulics
Electronics
Small engines
Other related mechanical systems
High school diploma or GED.
Two years of technical or vocational training in diesel or mechanical repair, or equivalent trade school, dealership, or factory training.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Professional certifications in heavy equipment maintenance or repair are preferred.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize emergency repairs and work effectively under pressure.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
