The ideal candidate will collaborate with project leadership, field teams, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders to monitor quality, address deficiencies, and support successful project completion.

  • Manage project quality control programs from project startup through final closeout.
  • Create, update, and maintain quality documentation, including QC reports, inspection logs, and submittal tracking.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and related documents to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for each definable feature of work.
  • Lead weekly quality meetings and distribute meeting notes to project teams.
  • Prepare daily reports documenting inspections, completed work, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Verify required quality checklists before concrete placement, structural steel installation, and other critical construction activities.
  • Inspect incoming materials to ensure they match approved submittals and are stored properly before installation.
  • Coordinate pre-installation meetings with subcontractors before new work activities begin.
  • Schedule and document required building code inspections and third-party testing.
  • Monitor non-conforming work, coordinate corrective measures, and verify deficiencies have been resolved before work proceeds.
  • Perform routine field inspections to confirm construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Coordinate system testing and commissioning while maintaining complete project records.
  • Prepare and manage pre-punch lists, punch lists, and final completion documentation.
  • Maintain accurate as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assemble project closeout packages, including warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, and final as-built documents.
  • Stop work when necessary to address safety concerns, quality deficiencies, or conditions that could impact project performance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 10 years of directly related experience, or
  • 20 years of relevant construction experience in place of a degree.
  • At least 7–10 years of experience working for a commercial or industrial general contractor.
  • Current USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification.
  • Strong understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical construction systems.
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and project planning.
  • Experience managing quality documentation and project change administration.
  • Familiarity with commercial, industrial, civil, and renovation construction methods.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and standard computer applications.
  • Experience overseeing quality management throughout all phases of construction.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and field personnel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Qualified candidates who do not currently hold every required certification may be given up to six months to obtain applicable certifications, when permitted.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Walk active construction sites for extended periods.
  • Climb ladders and stairs throughout the workday.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Travel to project locations within the assigned service area as needed.
  • Experience overseeing quality assurance programs for commercial or institutional construction projects.
