Our mission at Quandri is to transform insurance into a trusted and delightful experience using AI. We are building the AI operating system for North America’s best insurance agencies and brokerages.

For the first time ever, we have the technology to fundamentally change how insurance operates, and the stakes are human. Better insurance means families protected from harm, businesses able to take risks, and communities more resilient when the worst happens. For insurance practitioners, the ability to deliver this level of service finally becomes possible.

Quandri brings deeply specific, vertically-focused AI to the industry’s most critical stakeholders:insurance agencies and brokerages.

Agents are the lifeblood of the industry, the place where most property and casualty insurance is sold and serviced. Yet operating an agency is harder than ever. Peak product complexity, accelerating consolidation, a deepening talent crisis, and the AI revolution are all reshaping how agencies work.

Quandri sits at the cutting edge of this shift, rebuilding how agencies operate one workflow at a time. We pair a deep understanding of insurance processes, systems, and data with serious technical capability and proprietary models, so the transformation is tangible and operational rather than aspirational.

We’re making insurance better for policyholders, while helping insurance brokerages deliver a better client service, grow faster, and harness AI so that they control the future of insurance distribution.

About the Role

~2 min read

We're looking for an operator to build and harden the operational backbone of a fast-scaling AI company, and to rebuild how that work gets done with AI at the center.

Quandri is growing fast, and that growth is outpacing the systems holding it together. The ever increasing volume of compliance requirements, approvals, vendors, and internal workflows needs a plan that supports our current scale and the scale we're headed for. At the same time, we believe every team at Quandri should be working in fundamentally AI-native ways, and that shift needs someone who can model what good looks like and bring others along.

This role owns business process design, our security and compliance program, and vendor management, and you'll get pulled into operational finance and AI ops work along the way. The mandate is deliberately broad and it will keep shifting, because the bottleneck in a company growing this fast moves every quarter. You should want that.

You'll report to and partner closely with the Head of Finance & Operations, with autonomy over how these processes get designed and adopted. You'll also work alongside our Legal Counsel, a role we're hiring alongside this one, who owns the deal desk and the contractual side of security while you own the program behind it. We're hiring for a high potential individual who can grow into this function as the company scales.

Responsibilities

~2 min read
  • Own business process design and adoption - Build the operational scaffolding a scaling company needs. That means finding where Quandri is running on tribal knowledge or duct tape and replacing it with systems that hold up as the company scales, then making sure they actually get used.

  • Own our security and compliance program - You own SOC 2: evidence collection, policy authorship, access and control reviews, audit readiness, and the day-to-day operation of Drata, with support from our IT team. Our SecOps team owns infrastructure security, technical control implementation, and vulnerability management, and you own everything wrapped around it, including the incident response playbook that sits behind the commitments we make to customers.

  • Own vendor management - Build and run the vendor lifecycle: intake, risk review, security assessment, approval, renewal, and offboarding. You'll design the authority matrix that determines who can approve what and at what threshold, partnering with Legal on where legal review is triggered. You'll also drive vendor consolidation and spend rationalization as our tooling footprint grows.

  • Drive change management - Getting people to adopt new processes and tools is harder than building them. You'll own the rollout, training, and follow-through, with the support of our enablement team, to turn a new workflow announcement into a habit.

  • Special Projects - Take on high-impact cross-functional work: pricing analysis, vendor consolidation business cases, GTM efficiency deep dives, or operational model builds. These are the problems that sit between Finance, Product, and Ops where the answer isn't obvious and someone needs to go figure it out.

  • Help drive AI adoption, then build it - Partner with teams to spot high-impact ways to use AI, and roll out the tooling and shared resources (skills, plugins, routines) that make adoption practical and repeatable. This starts as support and grows into the core of the role: designing and building the agentic workflows that become how Quandri operates, with your judgment as the layer on top rather than your hours as the input.

  • Sharp critical thinking and analytical skills - You break problems down, find the root cause, and solve it. You don't just follow a process, you question whether the process should exist at all and constantly embody systems level thinking.

  • A track record of running operations - You've designed, built, and run operational processes before. You know what good operational hygiene looks like.

  • Energized by AI - You're an active AI user with a point of view on what works, and you're excited to rebuild work you've done by hand in an AI-native way. You don't need to be an expert today, but you do need to be curious and have the drive to get good fast.

  • Comfort with security and compliance frameworks - You've been close to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or a similar program and you understand what a control, an exception, and an evidence request actually are. You don't need to be a security engineer, but you do need to hold your own with one and be comfortable learning to run the program over time.

  • Embraces ambiguity - You thrive when there's no playbook. You've worked in environments where you had to figure it out as you went, and have a proven track record of being able to implement the right level of structure that doesn't slow the business down. This job is systems level thinking, process design, compliance, vendors, AI enablement, and whatever else lands this quarter, so the variety needs to be an appeal.

  • Strong communication across levels - You can present a compliance framework to leadership, walk an engineer through a new AI workflow, and run a vendor renewal negotiation in the same week.

  • A builder's instinct - When you see a gap, your first instinct isn't to flag it and move on, it's to start fixing it. You 'run toward the fire' and operate as a high-agency individual.

Nice to Have

~1 min read
  • Startup experience

  • Hands-on SOC 2 compliance experience, ideally with Drata or a comparable platform

  • Experience owning vendor management or procurement at a scaling company

  • Experience building agentic or AI-assisted internal workflows

  • Customers at the core. We put the customer at the center of all we do. At a basic level, we believe business success comes down to talking to customers and building something they want. We don't listen to customers and just take what they say blindly, but we think critically about it and build what they need. Customers are the core of everything we do, and our business exists to serve them. We prioritize their needs over all else within the company.

  • Move with urgency. There are times when we need to move slowly and deliberately, but we default to acting fast and with urgency. We slow down when necessary, but this should be a deliberate choice. Businesses become more lethargic as they grow, this principle is designed to fight this fact.

  • Be curious. We understand the world by being curious and asking why. We aren't satisfied with surface level understanding, and seek a deeper understanding of why things are the way they are. Don't take someone's word for it or the answer "because that's how we do it." Understand why and dig deep.

  • Excellence in execution. We know that what separates good from great is a high level of execution. We commit ourselves to excellence in everything that we do, from delivering an amazing product to writing a great email.

  • Act like an owner. We're all owners of the business and act like it. We follow through on commitments, own our results and think long-term.

  • Fight for simplicity. The law of increasing functional information states that systems evolve to become more complex over time. At Quandri, we believe there is sophistication in simplicity; as such, we intentionally fight for streamlined solutions and are committed to the uncomplicated.

  • AI-first. We believe AI is a fundamental shift in how work gets done, not just a tool we occasionally reach for. At Quandri, we lead with AI, in how we build our product, how we run our operations, and how we think about every process and workflow. This isn't about replacing people; it's about unlocking them to do higher-value work.
