Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Recruitment Manager to lead recruitment delivery across high-volume and specialist hiring portfolios. The role will be responsible for managing recruitment operations, leading a team of recruiters, partnering with senior stakeholders, improving hiring processes, and ensuring that vacancies are filled on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in recruitment leadership, stakeholder management, recruitment reporting, candidate assessment, process improvement, and workforce planning alignment. Experience in a BPO, contact centre, shared services, or high-volume recruitment environment will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Delivery & Strategy

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment delivery across multiple departments, campaigns, and business units.
  • Oversee both bulk recruitment and specialist/support hiring.
  • Partner with operational leaders to understand hiring needs, role requirements, timelines, and workforce plans.
  • Ensure recruitment activity aligns with approved headcount, budget, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor vacancy progress and remove blockers to ensure roles are filled within agreed turnaround times.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters, recruitment officers, and sourcing specialists.
  • Allocate vacancies fairly and effectively across the team.
  • Monitor recruiter performance against productivity, quality, and time-to-fill metrics.
  • Support team development through regular feedback, training, and performance conversations.
  • Create a culture of accountability, urgency, accuracy, and candidate care.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong working relationships with Operations, HR, Training, Workforce Management, Finance, and senior leadership.
  • Facilitate role qualification meetings with hiring managers.
  • Challenge unclear or incomplete recruitment requests where required.
  • Provide clear and regular updates to stakeholders on recruitment progress, risks, and market challenges.
  • Escalate concerns relating to timelines, candidate availability, salary alignment, or approval gaps.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Review and improve recruitment workflows, templates, screening methods, and approval processes.
  • Ensure requisitions are properly approved before recruitment activity begins.
  • Maintain compliance with recruitment policies, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
  • Use data and reporting to identify bottlenecks, quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the implementation or optimisation of recruitment systems, ATS workflows, and automation tools.

Assessment & Selection

  • Design and implement structured screening and interview processes.
  • Ensure selection methods are fair, role-relevant, and consistently applied.
  • Review candidate shortlists and provide guidance on quality standards.
  • Support senior or complex interviews where required.
  • Ensure candidates are assessed against both technical requirements and behavioural competencies.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, assessment pass rates, offer acceptance rates, candidate drop-off, and quality of hire indicators.
  • Prepare recruitment updates for HR and business leadership.
  • Use recruitment data to forecast challenges and propose solutions.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and vacancy records within the ATS.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years’ recruitment experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing or leading a recruitment team.
  • Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment.
  • Experience recruiting for specialist, leadership, or support roles.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience at senior operational or leadership level.
  • Experience using an ATS and recruitment reporting tools.
  • Experience improving recruitment processes or implementing recruitment controls.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

  • BPO, contact centre, outsourcing, shared services, or customer operations recruitment experience.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple geographies.
  • Experience with recruitment assessments, psychometric testing, or structured interview frameworks.
  • Experience supporting recruitment automation, AI screening, or ATS optimisation.
  • Experience partnering with Workforce Management or Operations Planning teams.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
