QuEra is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to join our team and play a meaningful role in how our products are built and documented. This position is documentation-intensive—the work is highly consequential and foundational, supporting cross-functional teams and our contract manufacturing partners. You’ll be embedded in a collaborative environment where precision, attention to detail, and the ability to absorb knowledge quickly are valued above all else. We are searching for someone to join us from August/September through December.

Responsibilities

  • Using existing documentation and product samples, write clear, accurate assembly procedures for use by contract manufacturing partners
  • Technology transfer of existing and new designs to contract manufacturers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical and optical engineering teams, operations engineering, and supply chain team to ensure all requirements for outsourcing production are met

The ideal candidate is bright, curious, and eager to learn from the team and environment around them. Specific qualifications include:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior co-op or internship experience preferred
  • Familiarity with product structures and bill of materials (BOM) management
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred)

  • Highly organized with strong written communication skills—this role requires someone who takes pride in clear, complete documentation
  • Self-aware and aligned with the nature of this role: this work is rigorous, detail-oriented, and impactful
