After School Program Teacher (Richmond, CA)

The After School Program (ASP) Teacher plays a vital role in providing a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children and young adults (ages 7-22) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This dynamic program offers a variety of enriching activities, including community outings such as mini golf, sports events, go-karting, and park adventures. On-site, participants enjoy outdoor play, board games, movie nights, and tech time. The ASP Teacher fosters social interaction, skill development, and personal growth while ensuring each participant’s needs are met in a supportive and inclusive setting. • Completion of, or willingness to obtain, 12 Semester or 18 quarter units in early childhood education (ECE), child development, recreation, physical education, social welfare, nursing, psychology, sociology, home economics, education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• California Driver's License and a good driving record.
• Successful completion of a health screen, drug screen, and criminal background clearance.
