Assistant Director of Campus Dining

Assists with managing the daily operations of student dining centers and retail operations services to create and maintain quality dining services for students and other members of the university community
- Assists with managing student dining centers and retail operations to create and maintain quality dining services for students and other members of the university community
- Initiates and manages cash-related operation activities to establish practices that lead to increased sales and repeat customers
- Assists in the administration of department software systems
- Maintains all sanitation and safety standards established by the university, including conducting regular and systematic sanitation and safety inspections
- Supports operations related to requisition, purchase and storage of food, supplies and equipment
- Distributes on-campus catering assignments to department personnel and oversees the quality of service delivered
- Resolves concerns raised by campus dining guests
- Assists with the analysis and preparation of reports for university administration
- Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget
- Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
- Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of an associate's degree or a combination of education/certification(s) and/or experience suitable for the position
- Moderate amount of experience working in food service management or other related experience
- Obtain and maintain food safety managers certification approved by conference for food protection
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends
