~1 min readAs a Dock Officer, you will oversee the daily operation of Arts Centre Melbourne's loading dock and inventory functions, ensuring the efficient movement, storage and distribution of goods across the organisation. Working closely with suppliers, hospitality teams and operational stakeholders, you will coordinate stock control, deliveries, procurement support and dock logistics while leading the stores team to maintain high standards of safety, compliance and customer service. This role is ideal for an organised logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience in logistics, warehousing or inventory management
- Qualification in purchasing, logistics or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Experience leading teams in a stock management environment
- Strong inventory and stock control knowledge
- Experience coordinating deliveries and supplier relationships
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using inventory management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience using EATEC, Ungerboeck or similar systems (desirable)
- Full Victorian Driver Licence
- Ability to operate pallet trucks, walkie-stackers and scissor lifts
- Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Check required

The Procurement and Inventory team ensures the right products and resources are available where and when they're needed across Arts Centre Melbourne. Through effective stock management, supplier coordination and logistics, the team supports day-to-day operations and contributes to the seamless delivery of performances, events and visitor experiences.
