As a Producer, Programming, you will lead the development and delivery of performances, events and creative projects across Arts Centre Melbourne's Programming pillar. Working closely with artists, presenters, promoters and internal teams, you will scope, budget, plan and execute innovative programs that align with the organisation's curatorial framework and public purpose objectives. This role combines creative producing, project management and stakeholder engagement, requiring strong artistic judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to deliver complex events from concept through to successful presentation.

Requirements

    • Qualification in arts, event management or equivalent experience
    • Experience producing complex performing arts events
    • Strong project management and delivery skills
    • Experience managing budgets and resources
    • Excellent stakeholder and artist relationship management
    • Contract negotiation and administration experience
    • Knowledge of the performing arts industry
    • Experience working with marketing, ticketing and production teams
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
    • Understanding of accessibility, child safety and licensing requirements
    • Experience with event management and ticketing systems (desirable)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
    • Current Working With Children Check
    • Current Driver Licence (preferred)
    • Valid working rights in Australia
    • Satisfactory National Police Check required

The Programming team is responsible for shaping and delivering Arts Centre Melbourne's diverse program of performances, festivals, community initiatives, education programs and public events. Bringing together producers, programmers and project specialists, the team works collaboratively across the organisation and with the wider arts sector to create engaging, accessible and artistically ambitious experiences that connect audiences with the performing arts.

Arts Centre Melbourne acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we gather, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung. We also acknowledge the neighbouring Kulin Nation groups, the Boonwurrung and Bunurong people, and pay our respects to elders, past and present.

At Arts Centre Melbourne (ACM), we employ the Humanforce system. HumanForce uses Facial Recognition technology to record clock on and off times. This technology operates in strict privacy mode, meaning that images are not stored. The use of this technology is necessary for ACM to perform its roster, time and attendance (RTA) functions accurately and efficiently. Therefore, all new staff in the Production, Visitor Experience, Ticketing and Hospitality Teams will be required to use it unless otherwise agreed.
