Reporting to the Manager, International Accounting, the APJ Accounting Manager is responsible for the execution and delivery of APJ accounting operations, ensuring all regional outputs are completed accurately, timely, and in line with SOX and group requirements. This role provides regional leadership across Australia, India, Japan, and Singapore (and future entities), acting as the day-to-day owner of delivery while operating under the direction of the Senior Manager.

Responsibilities

Own timely and accurate delivery of APJ month-end close
Ensure all reconciliations, journals, and schedules meet deadlines
Present finalised outputs for Senior Manager review and approval

Act as day-to-day point of contact for senior management and external providers
Manage outsourced provider performance against SLAs and KPIs
Resolve issues proactively and escalate where required

Oversee preparation and submission of statutory financial statements
Coordinate audits and ensure local compliance requirements are met
Ensure compliance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements

Manage APJ Accountant
Ensure clear prioritisation, accountability, and delivery standards

Consolidate APJ intercompany positions and cash requirements
Provide forward-looking visibility (quarter + 60 days)
Prepare recommendations on settlements and funding for Senior Manager review

Review indirect tax returns and supporting workbooks
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission via external partners

Ensure adherence to SOX controls and documentation standards
Drive process improvements and adoption of systems

Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA)
Significant experience in multi-entity, multi-country accounting
Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience
Experience managing outsourced providers
Strong understanding of SOX environments
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
